Vince Lewis

Vince Lewis is a veteran performer, composer and recording artist who appeared with countless major entertainers as a sideman before expanding his solo career.  A Heritage performing artist since 1991, with his recently released CD, "The Vince Lewis Trio".

Vince,  is receiving national airplay as well as excellent critical reviews.  Jazz Improv magazine calls it “A great jazz guitar record,” and his playing style has been compared to Wes Montgomery and Tal Farlow.

Vince, is a contributing writer for Just Jazz Guitar Magazine, and Guitar Instructor at Liberty University. He also manages to keep a busy schedule of personal appearances with the trio and headlining various jazz festivals.

Vince is now the Adjunct Professor of Guitar at West Virginia State University.
He performs and records exclusively on Heritage Guitars with HRW pickups.  His main instruments are two custom - built Sweet 16’s, a H-576, H-575 Mahogany with Spruce top and HRW premium Heritage pickup (4 point mounting), and a H-140 CM.

Vince, also performs and records exclusively on the new and exciting Heritage (Freedom 38) Amplifier of Tennessee.

The reason Vince plays Heritage?  “These instruments are built with pride and unequalled quality, and meet every demand that I make of them in terms of playability, sound and appearance.”

Recent CD releases include the critically acclaimed collection of his original material, "Makin' a Move," which is mainstream-based.

The second Vince Lewis CD is a collection of jazz standards in which he is joined by guitarist Steve Abshire. "Two In the Pocket" is a Noteworthy Jazz release. Gene Bertoncini says "From the first note these guys are cookin'.  A great album from start to  finish.
