Randy Dorman
Hey Ren and everyone at Heritage,
RE: The New, 4-Point Floating Heritage HRW Pickup

Wanted to let you know how wonderful my " 4 Point Floating HRW pickup"
is (the
first to own one on my block... thanks to your genius). We just finished
another jazz project with the Jacobs Brothers and I was truly pleased
with the consistency and how even the "HRW pickup" played from top to
bottom on the entire length of the neck without any hot spots...the tone
I get is so rich "It inspires me to play". Kudos, my friend, you have a
"True Winner" and a forever user with your HRW pickup...Thanks again!
Randy Dorman's CD's
"I Will Always Love You"
and "Unforgettable"

Heritage Artist Background
Randy Dorman a native Texan is the
son of Bruce and Hazel Dorman. I began playing guitar at the age of 9
years old. I could have started two years earlier, my parents gave me a
choice between a Roy Rogers guitar and a Superman suit... well I decided
to fly around the house.
My first electric guitar was a Kay that my parents bought me from a
pawn-shop for $40.00. It wasn't great but it was all mine and I loved
it. During my high school years I got a Gibson ES-335. That guitar
played like melted butter! It carried me through several local groups
and a year at North Texas State University.
I then had the great fortune of meeting a true gentleman by the name of
Roy Clark who invited my family to Nashville to watch them record Hee
Haw. I liked Nashville so much I stayed and got a gig with a band called
the Brass Monkey. A few years and bands later I did a session that Kenny
Rogers was producing and shortly there after was hired. That was in
September of 1977.
Since that time I've had the privilege of performing behind such greats
as:
Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson,
Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton,
Willie Nelson, Al Hirt, Reba,
Travis Tritt, Trisha Yearwood,
Linda Davis, The Oakridge Boys,
Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins,
Lisa Stewart, Kim Carnes
The Katinas, Patty Loveless,
Mark Chesnut,4 Runner
Bill Medley, Gallagher,
Lionel Richie, Mell Tillis,
Gladys Knight, Forester Sisters,
George Burns, Sheena Easton,
T. Graham Brown ,Susie Boggus,
Little Texas, The Smothers Brothers,
Colin Raye, Holly Dunn, Faith Hill, Phil Vasher, Marshall Dyllon
and many more...
