Gerry Gessie
Besides the distinction of being a Heritage Guitar Endorsing Artist,
Gerry Gessie is a high profile, entertainer who performs throughout the
USA with his Heritage “Little One” Model Guitar. His style in music
spans from classic to rock. At eight years old, wanting a bicycle for
Christmas and getting a guitar instead, Gerry was introduced to the
world of music. Disappointed, indeed, that there was no bicycle under
the Christmas tree, he nevertheless indulged his folks during the ten
free lessons that were purchased along
with the guitar. Obviously, he didn’t put the guitar down after the
tenth lesson. After a stint in the Army, Gerry made the decision to make
music his full-time profession. He is a full-time entertainer, singer,
songwriter, a teacher, travel guitar advocate, and campaigner of keeping
music in our schools.
Gerry enjoys performing in all types of venues. Some of the more notable
being the major Pocono resorts, Nashville Convention Center, Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, as well as Fairs and
Festivals around the country. He has performed with luminaries such as
Les Paul, The Four Seasons, The Shirelles, The Rascals and
country/western luminary, Doug Supernaw.
Gerry debuted the Heritage “Little One” Guitar at the Summer 2000 NAMM
Back Stage Experience in the ‘dream team’ band, along with Bob Korg, Lee
Oskar and Big Neal of Los Angeles, CA. His passion is performing. He
also has a strong commitment to provide our communities the insight to
continue valuable musical education in the schools. Together with
Heritage’s genius and craftsmanship in creating a perfectly sized travel
guitar, Gerry continues to be committed to performing and successfully
marketing the Heritage “Little One” Guitar.
