The Ellis Kell Band…
Originally formed in 1990, The EKB has performed in the Midwest at many
clubs, concert venues and festivals. The band plays approximately 50%
original material, and 50% cover tunes of blues and rock selections. The
band released its first CD in 1993 with “Down to the Levee,” and its
second CD in 2000 with “Ellis Kell Band & Friends - 2000”. The band
currently features Ellis Kell on guitar & vocals, John Burchett on bass,
Rick Stoneking on keyboards, ‘Detroit’ Larry Davison on harmonica, Terry
Hanson on drums, and Nate Nicholson on lead guitar. Although the band
retired from performing full-time in early 2001, they continue to
perform at select shows, festivals and concerts.
